- Report of Progress of Alternations & Repairs on S. S. Shinagawa Maru . At present in Yokohama is nearly finished. The Boilers are repaired Machinerly has been overhanded and finished shafts lened up and slide valves set. The holds are cleaned and painted. Cargo Ports and Coal Bunkers finished Galleys Store Rooms and accommodation for Officers and crew are nearly completed. Cargo Stages are being made and she will then only require painting and finishing work. She will perhaps be decked on Tuesday 12th inst. and is expected to be ready for sea in 10 days.
