４．再軍備と経済関係 第四号 日本経済の再軍備負担能力 本稿は去る四月十三日国民経済研究協会理事岡崎文動氏（戦争中は海軍省兵備二課長）より聴取した報告の概要である。 経済局調査資料室 再軍備の可否は暫く措くとして、仮に日本が再軍備をする場合、充分検討する必要があるのは、国民がどの程度に再軍備の負担に耐えうるかという点である。私は、このような見地から（一）租税負担の状況、（二）戦前戦後における中産階級の推移 （三）民間資本蓄積状態 （四）エンゲル係数よりみた一般家計の状況などを検討してみた。 まず、第一の租税負担についてみれば、現在でも日本国民の負担は決して軽いとはいえない。昭和二十六年度の日英米の国民所得に
