米国最近の情勢 (昭和二十九年六月一日) 一、アイゼンハワー政権と中間選挙 二、米国経済の動向 三、新しい軍事政策 四、仏印に対する政策 一、アイゼンハワー政権と中間選挙 米国の国内政治における本年の課題は、今秋十一月初旬に予定される中間選挙であるが、この選挙においては下院議員の全部と上院議員の三分の一が改選される。これがため、目下開会中の議会は例年より早く、遅くとも七月末の閉会を予定しているが、今会期においてアイゼンハワー大統領の標榜する主要立法計画、すなわち一般税制改革案、債務負担限度増額案、労働法修正案、綜合的農業計画案、対外経済政策計画及び対外援助計画などの議会における審議は遅々として進捗していない。中間選挙は大統領の
