- 明治二十八年七月一日 一日本水雷艇ニ隻（其一隻ハ支那ヨ捕護セル福龍号）ハ某罘ニ入港セリ日清戦争後日本艦艇ノ当港ニ寄リシハ具ヲ以テ始メトス 一本日ノ官報ニ臨時陸軍検疫部ニ於テ行ハシメタル似ノ島、彦島、桜島検疫所附属消毒汽缶適否ノ試験成績ヲ掲クタリ即チ医学博士北里柴三郎ハ後来ノ蒸気消毒執行法ニ依リ三十分間内ニ完全ナル消毒ノ目的ヲ達スルヲ得ベシト認完セル 一露艦「パトレル」ハ上海ヨリ長﨑港ヘ投錨 一英国東洋司令長官ハ令ヲ伝ヘテ台湾安平両港居留地ノ保護トシテ上陸セシメタル英国水兵ヲ引上クタリ英匣領事ハ北京駐創公使ヨリ水兵引上ヲ差留ムルノ権利ヲ呉ヘラレシモ在港軍艦ノ先任将校共命令ニ応セズ水兵悉ク艦内ニ引
