- 至昭和十年十二月 国際「オリンピック」大会関係一件 本邦大会関係 第二巻 秘発第二九一号 拝啓愈御清穆奉慶賀候然者国際「オリンピック」競技大会ノ義ハ従来欧米都市ニ於テノミ開催セラレ居候処来ル西暦千九百四十年ニ催サルヘキ第十二回大会ハ時恰モ我カ開国二千六百年ニ相当致候間同大会ヲ我カ国ニ於テ開催スルコトハ之カ絶好ノ記念タルヘキノミナラス国民体育上稗益スル所尠カラズ且又海外人士ヲシテ本邦ニ 対スル理解ト関心トヲ一層深カラシムルノ機会トモ相成ヘク今ヤ我カ「スポーツ」カ欧米列強ト覇ヲ争ハムトシツツアルノ時ニ際シ極メテ意義深キコトト存候本市ニ於テハ既ニ復興事業完成シ市域横張モ決定シテ着々大都市タルノ施設ヲ進メ居ル今日第十二回国際「オリンピック」競技大会ハ是非之ヲ当地ニ於テ開催セラルルコトヲ熱望致居リ候東京市会ハ昨年十月満場一致
