- 明治三十八年七月十二日時事 タイムスの日露戦争批評（二百十五）（六月七日軍事投書家所論） 日本海の海戦 現時に於て我等は唯だ一向に日本海大海戦に関する信用ある詳報に接せんことを待つものなり此戦は必然に来るべき数年の間海軍政策、造艦方針、装甲防禦、戦術、教練の上に優大なる勢力を加ふるものならざるべからず依りて詳報を得たる後に至り我等は始めて此海戦に関する断論を作らんことを欲するものなり此態度は須く両交戦国の報告に依りて事実全体の我等の前に提示さるるに至るまで持続されざるべからず一片の報告又は単独の事実を捉へて各学派檀に其説を為さんとするが如きは不可なり我等あるひは机上の対論に於て檀に事実をいがめ自家の学説
