- 三十八年三月十七日時事 タイムスの日露戦争批評（百五十五） 沙河の会戦（補遺）（四）（十月十五日所論つゞき） 露国の失敗 然るも第一回の発動は露軍に依りて行はれ成効に至るの予備的行動は之に依リて達せらるゝを得たり即ち二回の猛烈なる攻撃に依りて其左翼は本渓湖の附近及び同村の北に接する太嶺の附近に於て日本軍の陣地を奪取しコサツク兵及び歩兵より成る一隊また太子河を渡り機に及びて本渓湖、細河沿にある日本守備隊間の交通を遮断するを得たり露軍の行動をして成効せしめんとするには太嶺及び本渓湖を占領するを頗る必要なり何となれば之に依りて初めて左縦隊の大部隊太子河平原を利用して遼陽に下り以て北方よりする基本攻撃に共働するに至ることを得べきを以てなり然るも経戦
