- (２)布告関係 (昭２０年９月３日 重光外務大臣、マックアーサー会見関係を含む) 重光外務大臣マックアーサー会見 (昭和二十年九月三日 自一〇時三〇分至一二時 於横浜連合軍最高司令部) 大臣より昨日ポツダム宣言を敷衍せる降伏文書に署名せる後米側の布告案なるものを一見し此際政府の立場、政策、降伏文書等の解釈に付貴方に充分明確に説明し置く必要ありと存し来訪せりと述へたる上要旨左の如く陳述す。 一、日本政府の地位 政府はポツダム宣言受諾及降伏文書署名により生する義務及責任を完全に履行する堅き決心と実力を有す而して今日迄事態の急変に伴ひ生せる甚大なる困難を克服し来り今や皇族を主班とする内閣迄組織せられ敗戦に依る義務を
