Explanation: 1880年6月、東京箱崎町に設置。同年7月には大阪に、同年8月には敦賀に取扱派出所を設置。その役割は、北海道の産物品を国内外に転販することに加え、開拓使の必要物品（屯田兵が使用する銃・火薬が確認できる）を調達することにあった。1882年2月の開拓使廃止に伴い、翌3月取扱所および派出所の事務は大蔵省に移管された。
