Explanation: Born January 1864 (2nd month of Genji 1). From Oita Prefecture. Served as consular clerk in San Francisco. March 1897: Consular Clerk in Tacoma (Washington). July 1903: Deputy Consul, Suzhou. Followed by Consul, Chongqing. December 1909: Commissioner, Kwantung Governor General. Followed by posts there as Secretary and then as Chief, Secretarial Section, Kwantung Governor General Secretariat. Following the restructuring of the Kwantung Governor General as the Kwantung Bureau, held appointments beginning in June 1920 as Commissioner, Kwantung Governor General, and Secretary, Kwantung Governor General. April 1921: Resigned positions at own request.
