- 大正１５年１月８日 Par.3. The Commeroial Treaty of 1896 and what appertains to this treaty. A few details about this treaty my follow below. In pursuance of the stipulation contained in art. 10 of paregraph 6 of the treaty of 1858 the latter part would be liable to revision after the 4th of July 1872 “after one of the two parties has given one yar’s notice“. On the part of the Netherlands there did not exist any immediate need of a revision. In Japan however the wish did exist and in 1871 a Japanese mission composed of Mr. Iwakura Mr. Ito and a few others whose chief task it was to speak about a revision with the
