西比利亜に於ける民族 西比利亜の人類は其の酒類殆と数十種に分れ、然も大陸全体に機れるを以てを地理的区別たる固有の西比利亜にのみ限るは非常に困難なり。故に茲に「西比利亜の民族」と言ふは旧露領亜細亜全体に亘りものとし置かんと知るべし。我国に於て吾人が西比利亜と言へば誰しも寒風凛烈として胡沙飛荒凉の原野をのみ想像す。然れども此地域には幾多の美しさ清洌の水を湛へれる河辺或は湖畔の存在するあり。彼処には緑なす収草の溂芽は春風にそよげる沃野の拡がるあり。此地に蕃殖したるはアンモス獣の巨群のみに非ずして古より所謂「古代亜細亜族」と称する亜細亜人の先祖が到る処に居したりしなり。然るに鳥拉爾由と亜爾泰山の間より蒙古方面に亘りて其処
