- 九月二十四日大阪鳥尾中将ヨリ通報 一唯今鹿児島山縣参軍ヨリ報知左ノ通○今二十四日官軍四面ヨリ城山ヲ攻ム午前四時開戦同八時戦全ク取マル賊魁西郷桐野以下ヲ斃ス余賊数百戓ハ死シ或ハ降ル此段御報知ニ及プ 同日鹿児島東伏見少将ヨリ浅井中佐ヘ通報 一今朝四時我手一中隊旅団ト共ニ攻撃四時半我手城山ユ登ル賊大敗五時過諸口砲声止ム最後ノ一戦思ヒシヨリ易スシ手負ハ八九名即死ナシ委細ハ後ヨリ 同日右同 一過刻報セシ如ク九時頃ニハ全ク平定シ賊ノ我手ニ降ル者凡百名西郷ヲ追掛安村ハ手負トナリ首ヲ取兼シハ残リ惜シク彼レ所持ノピストルヲ取タリ程ナク首ヲ何レノ手ニヤ堀リ出ヤリト我手即死二人手負十人一般ノ変ハ最早知ラレシナラシカ茲ニ略ス 同日右同 一問合ノ旨承知右ハ已
