- 五駆逐機密第八号 第五駆逐隊旅順港ニ於ル探海灯視察報告 明治三十七年四月十四日午後七時三十分海洋島ヲ発シナ五日午前三時鮮生角ノ正南三浬ノ地点ニ達シ港口ヲ監視セリ午前四時過キ西方ニ方リ海上ニ多数ノ「ホルムスライト」燃焼スルヲ見タリ其距離稍遠キニ失シタルヲ以テ敵ノ注意ヲ喚起セサリシモノヘ如シ天明ニ至リ砲台ヨリ発砲セシヲ以テ湾外ニ出テ午前七時第三戦隊ニ合セリ当夜更ニ敵影ヲ見ス 当夜敵ハ終如四個ノ探海灯ヲ使用セリ其観測位置別紙ノ如シ 右報告候也 連隊機密第二九七号ノ十一 明治三十七年四月十七日 第五駆逐隊司令真野巌次郎 連合艦隊司令長官東郷平八郎殿 タ秘第一二号 旅順港探海灯ノ位置高度光力視察報告 連
