在箱館仏岡士蚕紙購買違約一件 自乙丑閏五月至八月 乙丑閏五月十五日 反訳 箱館千八百六十五年七月六日我閏五月十四日当る 箱館奉行小出大和守尊下 吾数多の日本人と蚕紙請取候約定いたし候処同人等此約定の趣意を遂候事出来兼双方承知之上我等其約定を破談せり 商人等双方に而既に破談いたし候約定を吾に為取返候為当三日我閏五月十一日当る我等面会に而貴下被話候通り貴下より被触候命令により其後無余儀吾に対し貴下へ訴訟致し候 右破談致し候約定を取返し候事を否み候訳を貴下へ述ぶ土地之風俗に随ひ充分の証拠無之日本商人へ外国人前金を払不可申候 此土地の風習のみにても充分に有之其上我約定之内多分日本約定人より我望之通り証拠を我に差出候事
