This Chapter explains the specifications and search techniques for each search function.

Advanced search

You can search for documents by entering search keywords or selecting search conditions.

Search by Category screen

You can search for documents by selecting typical words contained in documents from lists of categories and terminology.

You can also search within the dictionary data.

Alphabetical Index Search

You can search for documents by selecting typical words contained in documents from an A-Z list.

Upper section of the search screen Here you will find buttons for "Advanced Search," "Search by Category," and "Alphabetical Index Search."

Buttons are displayed at the top of the aforementioned Search Screen for "Advanced search," "Search by Category," and "Alphabetical Index Search," allowing you to move to each respective search screen.

From the Search result screen, you can perform the following searches.

Layered Search

You can search for documents by selecting documents from series layers.

Refined Search

You can refine the list of documents by entering keywords or specifying catalogue type, type of document, language, holding institution, document classification level, and date.

Search by specifying dictionary - alternative spelling

You can search for documents by specifying dictionary - alternative spelling when you have a "synonym," "related word," or "alternative spelling."
