1. How to browse

About browsing images

■Browsing images
By clicking on the "Browse" link on the search results screen, you can browse images related to documents. Regarding image formats, you can choose between two types: PDF or JPEG.

※Documents will initially appear in the PDF format.
※In most cases images will display in new windows, but browser environment settings may instead cause new tabs to open.

About browsing image

■Description at the top of the screen
The upper part of the screen shows document titles as well as buttons for the image formats (within the red rectangle). The following boxes contain item descriptions.

Title Displays the title of a selected document.
Open Details

Detailed information on documents and papers displayed along with information for citation purposes.
Citations to documents and papers will be displayed for the red underlined portion for its content.

Top of Items Jumps to the first page.
Previous Item Jumps back to the previous page.
Next Item Jumps to the next page.
Last of Items Jumps to the last page.
Total of Images Displays the numbers of indexed items of files being browsed.
Browsing Guide Click to open to the Browsing Guide.
Bookmarking You can save the URL of images for reference by bookmarking them.
※This feature may only be available with Internet Explorer. For more information please refer to How to use the bookmarking.
Display image format You can select to display images formatted as PDFs or JPEGs.
Image batch download You can select images for download as a ZIP file in the PDF or JPEG formats.

How to use bookmarking

Bookmarking features behave differently across browsers such as Internet Explorer.
When you click onto Add to Favorites in Internet Explorer, you are able to save the material for future access.

Other browsers may not have bookmark buttons that appear, but you should be able to still use the browser menu to register bookmarks.

The lower part of the browsing screen displays selected images in the format of PDF or JPEG.
